Samson Media has launched a new health and wellness portal, named www.Health-Wellness.biz.
February 3, 2009 Samson Media has launched a new health and wellness portal, named www.Health-Wellness.biz , as a way to continue learning, testing and practicing the combination of pay per click and search engine optimization techniques to drive targeted search engine traffic.
The new health portal is filled with articles and information on popular health topics such as weight loss, allergies, skin care as well as more serious health issues like Alzheimers disease and anxiety attacks.
"By walking the walk as well as talking the talk, it helps us really understand what works and what doesn’t in regard to search engine optimization," explains Samson Media owner Gene Sower. "As we gain traction and start to drive traffic to the site we generate a passive income for ourselves, which isn’t bad, either."
Revenue from the site is derived from the various affiliate programs, ebooks, Amazon store links and Google Adwords ads that are spread throughout the site. The goal, is to cost-effectively drive a high enough volume of health-interested consumers to the site who will click and make purchases to exceed the costs of maintaining the site.
The site also has a companion video produced especially for the site that will be used to drive traffic to the site using various keyword techniques combined with distribution of the video.
