Tickets, sponsorships, ad journal space, and display tables are now available for the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Dinner.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and attendees will bid on wonderful silent auction gifts that the Chamber has already begun collecting. A wonderful menu has been planned for this very special event being held at Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club.
The LACC is very proud of its 2009 Community Awards honorees. Business of the Year, PIP Printing, has been a very supportive Chamber Member and has shown outstanding community involvement. Through her work as a Teaching Assistant at Harrison Elementary School, Martha Ackermann has been a tireless advocate for her students. She also serves on the PT Council Safety Committee, the Healthy Community Healthy Youth Committee and the United Way. Firefighter Thomas Cooney has served with the Livingston Fire Department for 20 years and served as its president for eight years. Thomas continues to dedicate countless hours to the Fire Department as well as to the Livingston Little League having served on its Board of Directors and as a coach. A member of the Livingston First Aid Squad since 1970, Craig Dufford has served on possibly every committee of the organization. He has mentored both veterans and new members to the squad and has been available 24 hours a day for emergency and non-emergency situations. Lieutenant Edward Kelly and Corporal William Brennan of the Livingston Police Department are being honored for initiating Project LifeSaver. The program involves a battery powered transmitter in a wristband that allows the Police Department to locate individuals with some type of disability that could lead them to wander away from their residence or other location. The 2009 LACC Community Award recipients are shining examples of what makes Livingston such an exceptional place to live, work or both.
Sponsorships are available for this memorable night, which include tickets, ad journal space and a poster at the event. The LACC is also offering display tables to promote Member businesses. For information on the sponsorships, ad journal, display tables, tickets or to donate a gift for the silent auction, please contact the Chamber office at 973-992-4343 or email info@livingstonchambernj.com.
